The rice husk pellet production process is increasingly optimized to enhance efficiency and product quality to meet the high market demand. The production steps are as follows:
- Raw material collection: Rice husks are the primary raw material for pellet production. Rice husks have good burning properties and low moisture content, not exceeding 15%. During pressing and heating, if the moisture content of the material exceeds this level, excess moisture will be released, increasing pressure in the pressing chamber and leading to husk spillover from the feed hopper.
- Material processing: Rice husks are an agricultural byproduct from rice, so after collection, they need to be sieved and cleaned to remove impurities, soil, and stones to ensure the cleanliness of the input material and not affect its burning properties.
- Grinding, milling - Pelletizing: Rice husks will be ground in a husk container and then transferred to a high-pressure compression machine through mold holes to form pellets. The husk already contains lignin adhesive, making it easy to compress into solid, shiny cylindrical pellets.
- Dust screening, and cooling: After pelletization, the husks will be sent to a cooling and dust screening system.
- Packaging: Finished rice husk pellets will be packed in 600-800kg jumbo bags with bottom discharge openings, convenient for handling and ensuring product quality during storage.
With many advantages and practical benefits, rice husk pellets are becoming a popular and widely used product in various fields. Let's look at some prominent applications:
- Industrial: Rice husk pellets are a biomass product used as boiler fuel replacing traditional fuels such as DO/FO oil, fossil fuels, and natural gas to reduce CO2 emissions. With 75% fiber content, they are easily ignitable, smokeless when burned, emitting a pleasant odor, and environmentally friendly. The calorific value of husks is about 3,800 - 3,900 cal/g, capable of sustaining longer combustion than other conventional fuels. Therefore, rice husk pellets are the top choice for biomass boiler plants.
- Livestock farming: Rice husk pellets are used as bedding material in livestock pens, safe for livestock and poultry. They also effectively reduce odors.
- Fertilizer production: Rice husk ash contains highly beneficial elements and compounds for making organic fertilizer additives, tribal clean soil, and planting media.
- Domestic use: Rice husk pellets are used in heating systems, four-season hot water pools, steam rooms, restaurant kitchens, hotels, etc.
- Electricity industry: Rice husk pellets are used in biomass power generation.
- Supplier: In today's market, there are many commercial rice husk pellet suppliers. However, suppliers with the ability to produce their pellets will provide more benefits to customers by ensuring product quality, guaranteeing continuous and stable supply, and providing technical support. Moreover, they can flexibly produce and adjust the size, shape, quantity, or properties of the product to meet customer needs.
- Price: The specific price of rice husk pellets depends on various factors such as quality, geographical location, production scale, and technology used. Among them, the quality of rice husk pellets is the most important factor affecting the price. Products that meet strict standards for moisture content, ash content, fiber content, and other environmental safety criteria are usually priced higher than those produced by small-scale, rudimentary methods.
